There is no provision for insurance against lawsuits and liability claims for internet renters who are injured on our ravine steps, in our pool, or walking across our deteriorating beach groins.  Our stairways to the beach are not remotely “to code.”   That’s part of the charm of the place for us; but for a stranger who may expect more, it’s an invitation to a lawsuit.  

Notably, Airbnb offers insurance to the “host,” but does not mention any protection to the community.
